Use for the first time on the weekend. Great quality, easy to setup and pack away.
I will give 5 stars to TrackOz for the customer service, although only 4 to this tent model itself.
I have been using it for my road trip down the coast. I sleep great in it! Even better than in some beds. I use a queen mattress protector, a queen fitted sheet, and a queen all-season quilt with its quilt cover. A couple charcoal side-sleeper pillows from Kmart, and a heating blanket from KINGS. No problems closing the tent with that. (it wouldn't close with a summer&winter KINGS sleeping bag). I also leave the awning poles inside, but not the ladder.
Shoe bags could be better as they are not exactly waterproof :)
I had a problem with my seal around the hinges, as it gets pinched by friction against the hinge when closing it and it's difficult to achieve a proper seal, but they will send me a replacement free of charge which hopefully will solve the issue.
The canvas is great, protects from the rain and light doesn't come through. A lot of options for ventilation!
I wish the central pocket on the ceiling storage was transparent instead of mesh, to put my phone/tablet and watch something without losing quality.
The night sky window doesn't work too well. The plastic looks like it is going to age and become yellowish over time and the wrinkles stay on it, so you don't really get a clear view through. It also condensates some water overnight.
I do get some leaks from around the seams, which I can't really identify how the water comes through. It might be just condensation around those areas, which usually gets the mattress wet at some points on the sides.
Although it's design flaws, I still love the tent! :)
Absolutely stoked with my new RTT! For this price there’s nothing that could beat it. Quality is great, delivery was insanely quick considering how far I am from their warehouse and the customer service is the best I’ve ever had from any company. Super stoked I found this company before forking out heaps more for a product with only half the features this roof top tent has! Will definitely be buying more of their products.
I upgraded from the to4 to the xhinge making a big difference in space was very surprised. Love the look of it and is good having an extra pocket for air to flow right through the tent
